We are offering aspiring writers and new authors the chance to come and chat to us on our podcast, Dear Writer.
Why be featured?
One of the hardest obstacles new authors face is visibility—even finding a welcoming writer’s community can be a tough gig to crack, because people often have limited time to interact.
On Dear Writer, we are currently looking for new and/or aspiring authors to share their journey. We want to know all about how your experience has been, what your dreams are, and the challenges you’ve faced.

This is the best part about it—there is no catch! Of course, we encourage you to continue to follow the podcast and share it with your friends and other aspiring writers and authors you know (you’re on it, after all!). We can’t promise that being on the show will translate into more fans or more revenue, but the more people we interview, the more people share it. Plus, it’s a great way to truly connect with others on a deeper level.

Apply by filling out the form below. We’d like to know a bit about you, so we can better formulate questions to ask. It also helps us to make sure we’re providing quality for our listeners, and interviewing people who genuinely want to be on the show. The only criteria is that you must have a work in progress, or a finished book, and be prepared to share your journey. Indie and traditional pathways are both welcome.

Firstly, thanks for applying, we can’t wait to talk! You should find a confirmation of your submission in your email inbox. If you don’t see it, be sure to check your junk mail. We’ll review your submission and get back to you. At the moment, we’re looking at doing one of these interviews per month and we will contact you to schedule a virtual meetup.
I’ve been interviewed. Why isn’t my podcast episode available yet?
As mentioned in the previously, we only do one ‘author spotlight’ interview per month. But, we often interview ahead of time, so there may be a delay in between interviewing and the release date of your featured podcast episode. We will let you know what date to expect the episode to be released before interviewing you.
I’m not an author. Can I (or my clients) be on your show?
If you are an agent, publisher, marketing/PR manager, or other third party, please be aware we are only currently accepting applications from authors. We kindly request you have your authors fill out the form—this is a way for us to get to know them, and to tailor our questions to them individually. It also helps us to foster a friendly and inviting atmosphere by being in touch prior to the show, ensuring the interview flows seamlessly.
